Sherlock Holmes is a new play written by Neil Rutherford, inspired by the original play by William Gillette and Arthur Conan Doyle.

The play was commissioned by Polar Eclipse Theatre in Sweden in 2016, and following a workshop at Mountview,

rewrites were made to the script in 2019.

Following the disappearance of Detective Sherlock Holmes, Dr John Watson finds himself in custody under suspicion. 

​

Can he convince the authorities of his innocence or does he have buried secrets surrounding the absence of his friend and his relationship with nemesis Professor Morriarty.
